Why I built this site

I built this site as a single place to point students, collaborators, and curious readers — somewhere between an academic faculty page and a notebook.

Three things I want it to do:

  1. Make my research legible. A list of paper titles is the bare minimum. The constellation on the home page is my first attempt at giving a sense of *shape* — what I work on, what's adjacent, what's central.
  2. Be useful for the people I mentor. Many students who want to do biomedical informatics don't know where to start. Some of the writing here will be for them — practical notes on what worked, what didn't, and what I'd do differently.
  3. Stay light. No comments section, no newsletter popup, no autoplay anything. Plain text, real links.

More to come.
